Introducing undergraduate research assistant Julia Eiger!

Julia Eiger is an Australian concept and 3D artist based in Montreal. She is pursuing a BA Joint Specialization in Sociology and Anthropology and plans to go to law school and work with aboriginal and migrant communities. She has a background in psychology and multimedia arts, and has worked as a freelance artist specializing in character art for videogames and films since 2012. She is the co-founder and art director of an art studio, Eiskalt Kreativ, where she helps produce concept designs, 3D models and digital sculptures, illustrations, graphic novels, and short films for dystopian sci-fi and fantasy worlds.

In her spare time, she mentors young artists, and is an active member of several game modding communities. While she hails from the land down under, she is also an avid world traveler and digital nomad, carrying with her a strong passion for engaging in projects that allow her to traverse the intersections between visual art, technology, and social science.
